Supporting Artisan Shop

My name is Doug, Founder and owner of Indigenous Crafters. I am a Metis grandfather and father who sees value in crafts. My family is Red River Metis; however, my grandmothers were from the Saulteaux, Ojibwe, Plains Cree, Swampy Cree Nations. I have always had the desire to help others in a way that would benefit a community as a whole. Recently, I have had the opportunity to connect with some indigenous ways and ceremonies. I wish to live my life in a good way, following the teachings of the seven grandfathers and seven generations.

This is my personal shop, where I will sell the things I make as I learn and apply crafting techniques.  Some of the types of work I like to do include small leather, feather and bead earrings. I will also acquire and sell some products created by other indigenous artisans to support them with their permission and credit to the creator.
